Women on the Front Lines Conversation Continues

Mission-to-Serve-April-26-e1459453632888

Following an outstanding panel on April 8th at Generation W, the Mission to Serve: Women on the Front Lines conversation continues on April 26th. We hope you will be able to join us at the Florida Blue Conference Center from 6pm to 8pm.

Our goal is simple.

It is to provide support and exposure to the many herculean efforts currently underway by active duty and veteran women. In the process of bringing people together, GENERATION W hopes to be a positive force for the greater good. Co-moderators Rear Admiral Marty Evans (Retired) and Rear Admiral Mary M. Jackson will lead the discussion about how Generation W and the community at large can support those women who have embraced the mission to serve their country.

Attendees will arrive at 6pm and have the chance to network over light hors d’oeuvres prior to the program. We’ll have a panel conversation, with Q&A, which includes panelists Brigadier General Valeria Gonzalez-Kerr, Florida National Guard, and Ann-Marie Knight, retired USN and former administrator for Naval Hospital Jacksonville, plus panelists to be announced, that discusses what being a woman in the military is all about. These women will share personal stories and address the issues affecting women on the front lines.

Following the Q&A, the panel will be joined by Bill Spann, Commander, United States Navy (retired), and Director, City of Jacksonville Military Affairs & Veterans Department, and Deloris Quaranta, Air Force (retired) and president of Northeast Florida Women Veterans, among others, to continue the conversation around issues facing veterans, the services currently being provided and how civilians can get involved supporting our women in uniform.

Mission to Serve: Women on the Front Lines is presented by Florida Blue, City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department, and The Jaguars Foundation.
