The Steps Going Forward for Women of Jacksonville (infographic)

“About 27 percent — that’s how much of a raise Jacksonville-area women would need to make as much as local men. Women here make 79 cents on the dollar compared to men, slightly ahead of the 77 cents on the dollar the U.S. Census says they make nationally.  Statewide, women make $17.4 billion less than men, meaning the wage gap is costing the Florida economy billions every year.”  So begins an article in today’s Jacksonville Business Journal.  But, according to the article, Jacksonville businesses are working hard toward narrowing the gap–and paving the way for a bright future for both women & men.  Here is an infographic that was included with the article (checkout the reference to Generation W!).  Click here to read the entire article.
