Start 2016 with Generation WORKS

genw-1815The turn of the year provides a big RESET button. It is a chance for us to move forward with our best attempts at making our resolutions real and our desire to make things happen – happen! It is a time when the pages of our new notebooks are ready to be inscribed with our new stories as we look ahead refreshed and ready, armed with our hopes and inspired to make a difference.

It is because of our collective desire to make a difference that Generation WORKS, a great day of leadership, friendship and service led by women and girls, came to be. Last year, more than 450 volunteers came together on a beautiful Saturday morning to help transform the lives of our neighbors. It is amazing what paint, landscaping, elbow grease and caring can do for our community and for ourselves. Collaborative efforts to create a greater good are some of the best we can all do together. Again, we will be working with 14 of our outstanding not-for-profit agencies, impacting our schools, students and families with the goal of leaving our community better than when we found it. Yes, what a difference a day can make.

Thanks to Deutsche Bank, who once again is our presenting partner. They are joined by Firehouse Subs, Interline Brands, Stein Mart and the United Way in supporting our collective efforts to improve our communities and lives.

Generation WORKS is about celebrating and recognizing how vital and integral women are in making our community strong and we hope you will join us for this year’s event on February 6th.
