Saying Hi: We Are Ready for Generation WOW

Last year, generations of fabulous women—the leaders of tomorrow and the leaders of today—showed up at the Robinson Theatre for the first-ever Generation WOW event for a program to learn about the positive and the possible. What is a WOW girl?  She…

Wants to be the best person she can be

Offers the knowledge she learns to others

Willing to step up and step out to make a positive impact on the world

Tomorrow the enthusiasm is reignited as nearly 300 high school girls and 110 women mentors will once again convene for some thought provoking programming and the signature event, the GERALDINE Mentor Walk. This event is designed to create an impactful forum for teen girls so that they too—just like the women of Generation W—can be educated, inspired and connected. The mentor walk gives girls the opportunity to build intergenerational connections and create a lifelong mentor network.   Notice we use the word “lifelong”.  You see, this isn’t about a one-day event, it’s about creating an experience that will forge relationships, inspire dreams and deliver results that will enhance lives.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who believe in “The WOW Power”–our speakers, our mentors and our sponsors Community First CARES Foundation, Florida Blue, FCGI, Natural Life, EY, Remmer Family Foundation and PepsiCo.  It is through their support—and the support of our entire Generation W community—that we are able to inspire young women as they take the world head on with confidence and conviction.

Please follow Generation WOW on Twitter and Facebook for periodic updates about the day’s events and activities as well as post-event videos and images (believe me, you won’t want to miss the videos and images!).
