Save the Date: Battlefields and Boardrooms, July 28th

WIDThe Women in Defense First Coast Chapter invites all of us to participate in a thought provoking presentation and reception to discuss the challenges women face in all levels of the military and private sector.  Battlefields and Boardrooms: Women’s Leadership in the Military and Private Sector will be held on July 28, 2016 at the Davis College of Business at Jacksonville University.

Moderated by Generation W speaker Mary Evans, Rear Admiral, USN (Ret.), authors Dr. Nora Bensahel and Katherine Kidder will share their research and findings from their report which shows how women–in battlefields and boardrooms–share a number of challenges related to retention and promotion, parenthood and family, compensation and negotiation, mentorship and career advancement, and workplace climate.  We will take away key points on the challenges that need to be addressed in order for the military services and private sector employers to benefit from the full range of the nation’s talent.

Brought to you by the Women in Defense First Coast Chapter, a National Security Organization, this professional development presentation begins at 6:00 pm with a reception of drinks and light hors d’oeuvres followed by the presentation at 6:30 pm.  A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
