PGA Execs Serve as Global Mentors

Congrats to the PGA’s Rhona Aime & Angela Schmelzer on being chosen as global mentors!

 

 

Rhona-Aime-2107371*220 129790eSo excited for Rhona Aime, Chief Financial Officer and Angela Schmelzer, Program Operations Coordinator at the PGA of America on being chosen to serve as mentors to Yasmian Al Sharshani from Qatar for the U.S. Department of State and espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program. Now in its fourth year, this program supports the United States global commitment toward advancing the rights and participation of women and girls around the world, using sports as a vehicle towards greater opportunity and inclusion.

The PGA of America is proud to play an important role in engaging, inspiring, and empowering a new generation of female leaders around the world. For three weeks, Aime and Schmelzer will mentor Al-Sharshani, providing her with valuable skills, experience, and access to networks that can lead to future opportunities back in her home community. Aime and Schmelzer will also help to construct a strategic action plan with Yasmian, in an effort to create additional sports opportunities for underserved women and girls in Qatar.
