Mary Kelli Palka becomes Editor of Times-Union

Congratulations to Mary Kelli Palka on being named the first female editor of Times-Union!




Mary Kelli Palka has been named the editor of Florida Times-Union and“I’m excited about this opportunity to lead Times-Union and journalists in covering the people, places, businesses and issues important to Northeast Florida,” Palka said in a recent Times-Union article. “Our focus will remain on increasing our watchdog and investigative journalism, as well as continuing our tradition of strong storytelling.” Palka, who will be the publication’s first female editor, will be taking the helm after editor Frank Denton steps down on January 1st.  Denton will become editor at large and remain responsible for the editorial page and other duties.  He will also continue as vice president for journalism at Morris Publishing Group.
