Painting the hallway, lunchroom, and 5 classrooms to bring color and life into the room where every year 250 child witnesses of domestic violence come for therapeutic services.

**Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.
Hosting an adult BINGO game for the population of homeless people that the Sulzbacher Center serves. There will be gift card prizes to places like Wal-Mart or Publix to help provide essential products.

Create and arrange decorations for Valentine’s Day sale. All proceeds and efforts go to help break the cycle of the sex trade. Rethreaded offers the oppressed a chance to grow into the fullness that they are.


City Rescue Mission: 5343 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205

Volunteers will work in the thrift store and spruce up the center and transition homes that serve the homeless population in Jacksonville. This will increase the quality of living for all of those that turn to the City Rescue Mission for help.

General indoor and outdoor cleanup at the Career Development Center that works to improve the lives of those with developmental disabilities. Activities include moving furniture, yard work, and possible light interior painting.

Yard work and water sealing the fence at group home for ladies with developmental disorders.

This is an outstanding opportunity to come together to help families in need. Volunteers will be working on any of the 5 houses that Generation WORKS sponsors to bring homes to families. **Please note that you will also need to register on the Habijax site before volunteering.


Feeding Northeast Florida: 1116 Edgewood Ave. N, Jacksonville, Fl 32254

Inspect, sort, and pack food to be distributed to agencies that feed those who are hungry.

Sort brand new clothing by gender and size to provide for those in need.


Children’s Home Society of Florida- Buckner Division3027 San Diego Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32207
Campus-wide landscape and clean up including trimming bushes, weeding, raking leaves, and distributing mulch. The Children’s Home Society works to break the cycle of child abuse and transform their lives for the better.


MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation: 1096 West 6th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209
Sprucing up the center that works with children to develop champions in the classroom, on the tennis court, and throughout the community. Work will include touch up painting, grounds and area cleanup, some pressure washing, weeding garden areas, and general cleanup of the center.


Duval County Public Schools (The Jacksonville Public Education Fund): Multiple site options
Options to work on any of the 5 schools that are in need with the goal of providing a cleaner and better campus environment. Tasks are to include courtyard transformation, assembling picnic tables, planting a vegetable garden, reading initiative, and learning about basic computer applications.
