Generation W Event Brings Big Names in Leadership to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla (March 13, 2018) – GENERATION W’s upcoming Rise & Shine event is bringing celebrity, community and business leaders from across the country to Northeast Florida. Rise & Shine will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center.

GENERATION W’S signature Rise & Shine event is an all-day affair, designed to bring women together, challenge thinking and inspire people to action. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with dynamic speakers and attend a wide range of workshops from building successful professional and personal networks to issues of social impact and more.

 

 

Guest speakers include:

Yolanda “Lonnie” Ali – Founder of the Muhammad Ali Center – an award-winning museum and multicultural center, philanthropist, Parkinson’s Disease advocate and wife of the late Muhammad Ali.

Kelly Wallace – Award-winning Correspondent and Editor-at-Large for CNN, whose professional focus is on women and female empowerment. She has secured exclusive interviews with powerful women including First Lady Michelle Obama.

Gay Gaddis – Founder and CEO of T3 – the nation’s largest woman-owned advertising agency, Forbes contributor and author of Cowgirl Power: How to Kick Ass in Business and Life.

Pat Geraghty – Chairman/CEO of Florida Blue and multi-award-winning humanitarian and businessman.

Maryam Banikarim – Global Chief Marketing Officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, award-winning businesswoman named one of New York Post’s “50 Most Powerful Women in NYC.”

Shellie Pfhol – President and CEO of the United States Center for SafeSport and former Executive Director of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, appointed by President Barack Obama.
