Florida Blue Earns Brand Excellence Award

Florida Blue LogoGeneration W partner Florida Blue has earned a Brand Excellence Award from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). The annual awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies that excel in developing and enhancing the overall BCBS Brand image.  Florida Blue was awarded the Brand Excellence Award in the “Member Retention” category for having 93 percent of members renew their coverage over the past year. In 2014 Florida Blue saw a net gain in membership of more than half a million and now serves approximately 4.3 million members across the state.

“Florida Blue met the opportunities and challenges faced by our members in 2014 with innovation, flexibility and resilience,” said company CEO Pat Geraghty. “We guided them through the evolving health care landscape and found new ways to help them get the care they need. We are honored to accept the Brand Excellence Award for member retention and we are confident in our ability to continue to deliver the next generation of health and health care products to our customers and members.”  It is the third Brand Excellence Award for Florida Blue.
