Sanyin Siang, Executive Director, Duke University Fuqua/Coach K Center On Leadership & Ethics
Sanyin is the Executive Director of the Coach K Leadership & Ethics Center (COLE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. The center is a leadership laboratory that influences the development of all Fuqua Daytime MBA students, and engages leaders in shaping and understanding today’s leadership challenges. At COLE, she launched and grew the annual invitation-only think tank summits for C-suites and its Women’s Leadership Initiative.
Sanyin’s thought-leadership has appeared in Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, and The Huffington Post. She is also a LinkedIn Influencer with more than 150,000 followers. Her advice has also been shared through service on various boards, including Duke Children’s Hospital National Advisory Board, Emily Krzyzewski Center Governing Board, US Olympic Committee National Governing Board for USA Taekwondo, and Algae Systems. She has spoken in diverse venues ranging from The White House to the Global Sports Management and Owners Summits.
Sanyin is passionate about mentorship and as a leadership coach, has helped leaders effectively navigate today’s increasingly complex uncertain environments. She helps them develop actionable insights that leverages their strengths for the particular contexts within which they work.
Sanyin’s life’s work has been about driving innovation, reinvention and transformation through breaking down silos and bridging across divides. She focuses on leadership and teams, talent development, and strategic partnerships. A theme through her various roles is convening interdisciplinary, diverse and counterintuitive gatherings towards defining complex problems and implementing new approaches for solving them.
She is currently developing a children’s series that empowers girls to be problem-solvers through leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Sanyin received a BSE in biomedical engineering and an MBA from Duke.
