Rometa Porter, Co-Owner, AHP Home Healthcare
Rometa Porter was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida. She is the mother of three daughters and she has four grandchildren. She is a graduate of Florida Community College of Jacksonville’s Nursing program and has worked in the nursing field for fifty three years. She retired after thirty years from University Hospital (Currently known as Shands UF Jacksonville) and after retirement she became Co-Owner of AHP Home healthcare.
She is a member of Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, ETA Phi Beta Professional Women Sorority and a member of the Bold City Chapter of the Links, Sickle Cell disease association and a Life member of the NAACP.
She is a recipient of the First Coast African American Award and the Jacksonville Branch NAACP Health Achievement Award.
