Jacksonville’s Citywide Dance Marathon

June 21, 2014 – June 22, 2014 all-day
Aloft Jacksonville Tapestry Park

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement that is spreading to the city of Jacksonville. Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which in Jacksonville are the pediatric programs of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and UF Health Jacksonville. During our 8.2 hour event on June 21, 2014, we aim to change the face of philanthropy in our community.

Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon was founded by students in 1991 in the memory of Ryan White. Since its inception it has grown to over 100 universities and colleges across the country, and now we are taking it to the next level. Entirely volunteer run, donating 100% of the funds they raise directly to their local children’s hospital, Dance Marathons have become a tradition on campus and now in your local community.

We will stay on our feet for 8.2 hours in honor of children who have been through so much and to represent our second year. It is this solidarity to and connection with the cause that makes Dance Marathon an event unlike any other. We “dance” for those who can’t. We do it For the Kids!
