Embrace Your Potential
We are a generation who understands the power we have to make a difference in the world. Whether it’s through our commitment to the communities we serve, the professions we elevate, the board rooms we occupy, or the inventions we create, we Rise & Shine every day. Our power lies in our ability to unite in a way that shapes and changes the social, cultural, and political landscape of our world.
This year, we continued the powerful movement of women by providing an invigorating platform of speakers, as well as topics like:
- the impact of immigration
- building your best professional and personal networks
- issues of social significance
- the importance of storytelling
- and many more.
We hope you were inspired to Rise & Shine and connect to the endless possibilities of women, the future, and each other.

Thought Leadership on Aging
Jay Newton-Small, Founder, Memory Well
Caregiving is the quiet crisis that deserves our full attention. Women make up three fourths of family caregivers and are far more likely to give up their careers to care for an ailing relative than men. The greatest driver of the caregiving cliff is Alzheimer’s and dementia, which also disproportionately affects women. The diseases will single-handily bankrupt Medicare and Medicaid before 2030, and much of the Middle Class by 2050, when costs are expected to quintuple to more than $1.1 trillion annually. Women will pay an even steeper cost if we continue to remain silent around the Quiet Crisis. It is time to remove the stigma around caregiving and engage in dialogue that will help us all rise and shine to the Quiet Crisis of caregiving.
